Seeking qualified applicants for a Senior Staff Assistant for the Administration Division within the Department of Public Works and Parks. The Senior Staff Assistant is responsible for receiving and responding to requests for public records, general inquiries, and complaints from the public, in person, via telephone and/or email. The employee will maintain and track lists pertaining to programs and department property accidents. The Senior Staff Assistant will also be responsible for performing other general administrative duties.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Construction Management, Operations Management, Public Administration or related field OR;
- An equivalent combination of education, training and three (3) years of working experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job will be considered in lieu of the above-mentioned requirements
- Professional experience in an office environment
- Prior experience preparing complex reports
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five (5) years of related professional experience in an office environment
- Two (2) years of experience preparing complex reports with the ability to do a comparative or feasibility analysis with a supporting narrative.
- Two (2) years of related professional experience in a public works and/or construction setting
SALARY RANGE: $63,344- $82,880 annually, full-time, exempt, with an excellent benefits package.
