American Red Cross

Disaster Relief And Recovery and Military Family Support

You are not alone! The thousands of staff and volunteers of the Red Cross are here for you with emergency aid when you need it most, and also advice and assistance to help you recover from a disaster or become better prepared to face one in the future.

Emergency communication and financial assistance for a military family, when other means of communication and assistance have not worked.

The Brookfield Institute

The mission of The Brookfield Institute is to build resilience in veterans and military families through targeted programs and resources in order to aggressively combat the causes and impacts of veteran suicide.

Our vision is to ensure every military and veteran family has the necessary support to achieve optimal social, spiritual, physical and mental health for joyful, meaningful lives.

We offer public events, trainings, support groups and outreach.

Community Legal Aid

Community Legal Aid, Inc. (CLA) is the free civil legal aid provider for residents of the five counties of Central and Western Massachusetts. CLA specializes in assisting tenants threatened with eviction or the loss of a rent subsidy; homeless families trying to access shelter; individuals and families trying to access public benefits programs and unemployment compensation; domestic violence victims in family law matters; students in need of services to help them thrive in school; elders facing threats to their autonomy, independence, or safety; and persons seeking help with a civil legal problem connected to the fact that they are a victim of a crime.

US Army Reserves 99th Readiness Division Family Programs

US Army Reserves 99th Readiness Division Family Programs provides support to all Army Reserve commands and units within the geographic area of operations. They establish relevant and responsive programs and services to Soldiers, Family members, command teams and Civilians throughout the Army Reserve community.

Family Readiness Support Assistants are standing by to assist you with school support services, health and behavioral wellness, employment resources, military and community based partnerships.

Veterans Business Outreach Center of NE (VBOC)

In partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration, VBOC equips veteran and active duty service members and their families with the resources to help them start and run their businesses. The VBOC of New England provides information on small business ownership to service members and military spouses by facilitating and instructing the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Boots to Business, “Introduction to Entrepreneurship” course.

Additionally the VBOC provides: counseling, training, technical and financial skill development, comprehensive business assessments, and mentoring.

Worcester Veterans Center

Vet Centers are community-based counseling centers that provide a wide range of social and psychological services, including professional readjustment counseling to eligible Veterans, active duty service members, including National Guard and Reserve components, and their families.
