Classroom instruction will be followed by hands-on practice working under the supervision of experienced instructors. Topics include safety, suspension, brakes, steering systems, exhaust and emissions, four-stroke engine theory, design characteristics, service techniques, diagnostics and repair strategies. You will disassemble, measure, inspect and reassemble diesel engines in accordance with factory blueprint specifications.Our Diesel Tech instructor is an industry leader who has years of experience running his own trucking company and working as a diesel technician.  His experience teaching High School and Post Secondary students allows him to provide students with a robust hands-on education. Our program will also offer students the opportunity to interact with industry partners who are looking to employ trained Diesel Technicians and Truck Drivers.According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for diesel service technicians and mechanics is projected to grow 3 percent from 2023 to 2033, and the median annual wage in May 2024 was $60,640Eligibilty Requirements (More information about CTI Eligibility):
