Biomanufacturing is an advanced-technology sector within biotechnology focus on the large-scale production of biopharmaceuticals (biologics), and human tissues. Massachusetts is the world’s leading biomanufacturing provide, with over 1000 Biomanufacturing companies established, and this number continues to grow. Although originally centered around Boston/Cambridge, the industry is expanding rapidly into central MA (Worcester and the South Coast. As more companies emerge in Massachusetts, more employees are transition to the Biotechnology industry. This program supports this shift in the workforce by providing and overview of the biomanufacturing industry and training in the technical skills needed to succeed in this space. This 8-week program will provide students with the skills, industry certifications and introductions to industry leaders to support their goal of employment in the biomanufacturing industry.

Students will meet in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with additional nonsynchronous work on Saturdays (for a total of 15 hours a week) for a duration of 8 weeks. At the end of the program, students will receive the Pathmaker Certification, OSHA 10 Healthcare Certification and BCSI Microcredentials in Aseptic Technique.
After successful completion of the 8-weeks AND credential attainment, students will receive a stipend of $2000.00
