VETERAN SERVICES
Serving Those Who Served
MassHire takes great pride in honoring the service of those who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States by providing Priority of Service to our veterans.
Our Career Centers offer a wide range of services to support veterans in their career endeavors, including job search assistance, career planning, training opportunities, resume services, access to computers and the internet, workshops, personalized support, and referrals to partner agencies. These services are available to all eligible veterans and eligible spouses. To determine your eligibility and access these resources, please reach out to the Veteran Employment Representative at your nearest Career Center.
Becoming a member of the MassHire Career Center is simple. You can start by completing your JobQuest registration online and attending a brief Career Center Seminar. MassHire regularly hosts hiring and training events. Whether you are looking to change careers or network with potential employers at our job fairs, please stay informed by viewing our upcoming events.
We are committed to supporting our veterans as they navigate their career paths, and we look forward to serving you at the MassHire Career Center. We encourage you to contact a Veterans’ Representative and bring a copy of your DD-214. If you no longer have your DD-214, rest assured that we will assist you in obtaining a copy. Central MA Veteran’s Coalition (CMVC)
Honoring the Founder: Bill Ryan
In 1992, the MassHire Worcester Career Center Veterans Representative, Bill Ryan, recognized the need for stronger coordination among veteran service providers in Central Massachusetts. With a vision of unity and shared purpose, he founded the Central MA Veterans Coalition (CMVC). What began as a small group of committed professionals has grown into a vibrant and impactful partnership that has served hundreds of veterans through collaboration and resource-sharing. Through Bill’s dedication and leadership, CMVC became a model for veteran support networks across the state.
Empowering Veterans Through Community Collaboration
Today, the CMVC is now a network of over 130 federal, state, local, and non-profit agencies dedicated to improving the lives of veterans across Central Massachusetts. No matter the issue, this coalition is dedicated to ensuring that every veteran in need receives the support, guidance, and service they deserve.
Become a Guest Speaker
If your agency / organization serves veterans, we’d love to hear from you. Please consider joining us at a future coalition meeting. The CMVC meetings provide a platform for organizations to share resources, collaborate, and present services. These meetings are held virtually on a quarterly basis (March, June, September and December).
Use the intake form below to tell us about your organization. A Veterans Representative will contact you shortly to schedule a meeting and discuss further details about your organization and provide additional information about the CMVC.
