Diesel Technician training prepares students for entry-level diesel careers through a combination of hands-on shop training and classroom instruction.

Students will learn core diesel engine fundamentals, including hands-on work with four-stroke diesel engines, transmissions, drivelines and axles, air brake systems, steering and suspension systems, and basic 12-volt electrical systems. Training also covers starting and charging systems, mobile air conditioning systems, basic scan tool diagnostics, workplace safety practices, and professional tool identification.

Students will earn industry-recognized credentials such as OSHA 10, NC3 Precision Measuring, and MACS 609 certifications.

Job-readiness support, including resume-building and interview coaching, is also included to help students transition successfully into the workforce.
